Padi discover mermaid
The PADI Discover Mermaid experience is a fun, safe, and beginner friendly introduction to mermaiding before committing to certification. This one-day session lets new mermaids explore tail swimming, breath control, and basic safety in a shallow water setting—no prior experience or certification required.
For this experience you must be in physical health and comfortable in the water. Available for ages 6+ this is an experience and is perfect for anyone wanting to try out mermaiding. It is held in a local pool, and is approximately 1 hour long.

PADI Basic mermaid
The PADI Basic Mermaid certification is ideal for new mermaids ready to begin their journey in a supportive, confined- water environment. This entry-level course introduces fundamental skills like breath control, efficient tail movement, and safe swimming techniques.
No prior certification is required. This course is a great way to build confidence before continuing on to more advanced levels. It includes a PADI eLearning knowledge development session and one confined water session. Classes are held in a local pool, and participants must be in good physical health, able to swim at least 25m unassisted, float comfortably at the surface for at least 3 minutes, and be ages 6+.

PADI mermaid
The PADI Mermaid certification offers comprehensive training for those ready to advance their mermaid skills. This course focuses on breath control, underwater technique, and safety in a confined water setting.
While PADI Basic Mermaid is a helpful stepping stone, it is not required. This course includes a PADI eLearning knowledge development session, and one confined water session. Held in a local pool, participants must be in good physical health, able to swim at least 50m unassisted, float comfortably at the surface for at least 5 minutes, and be ages 10+.
This course is required before progressing to PADI Advanced Mermaid certification.

PADI advanced mermaid
The PADI Advanced Mermaid certification builds on prior training, introducing more complex techniques for longer breath-holds, deeper swims, and safety in open water environments.
This course includes a PADI eLearning knowledge development session, and two open water sessions. Participants must already hold a PADI Mermaid certification, and be in good physical health, able to swim at least 100m unassisted, float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 minutes, and be ages 12+.
It is recommended to bundle PADI Mermaid with PADI Advanced Mermaid.
